Fill the Gap
From the exploration of her own body, Michele told a story about her growing up as a girl and how her grandmother has taught her how to be a woman. She soon realized that the generation gap between her grandmother and her made no difference in their understanding of the huge gender gap being imposed on them. Fill the Gap was Michele's debut solo theatre piece and was staged in an art gallery where audience members were to follow her around in her journey of growing up. She carried around a cassette player with recordings of wisdom of words from her grandmother. The last room is set up as a video installation that provoked audience to think about sex, women and how to exit a world with such huge gender gap.
